CASI (Captive Assurance Solutions, Inc.)

Captive Assurance Solutions, Inc., known as CASI, is a captive insurance company established by Provo, Utah-based Revere Health in 2019. CASI is currently approved to underwrite Revere Health’s medical practice insurance needs for its physicians and staff.

CASI issues medical malpractice policies for care providers, most of whom are employed by Revere Health. It also provides policies for Revere Health’s physician assistants, certified registered nurse anesthetists, certified registered midwives, certified registered nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals as named insureds. Coverage includes policy options for various liability limits and extended coverage policies as agreed upon by the CASI Board of Directors.

It is possible that CASI may consider underwriting other lines of coverage in their internal risk management program to potentially include, but not be limited to:

  1. Full coverage Cyber/Data Breach Liability/Business Interruption;
  2. Full Executive Risk coverage (Directors & Officers Liability, Employment Practices Liability, & Fiduciary Liability);
  3. Workers Compensation Large Deductible Reimbursement, and
  4. Voluntary Employee Benefits
  5. Risk-based care loss coverage for Providers

The Directors of CASI are elected each year by its shareholders. The main duty of the Directors is to protect CASI’s assets from misuse by establishing and documenting internal control policies to ensure no misappropriation of funds. They also have the responsibility to engage various risk management support services.

CASI is managed with the help from the following external advisors:

Eide Bailly is the independent certified public accountant used to prepare the annual financial audit in accordance with the Utah Department of Insurance requirements. 

Taylor-Walker & Associates is the actuarial firm used to certify the adequacy of the Company’s loss reserves and expense reserves in accordance with the requirements of the Utah Department of Insurance.

Moreton & Company is the captive manager.
